Woman Booked for Assaulting Sanitation Worker in Kukatpally

The Jagadgirigutta police have officially registered a criminal case against an unidentified woman who allegedly assaulted a sanitation worker in the Deenabandhu Colony area of Kukatpally on Friday, June 28, 2026. According to law enforcement officials, the physical assault took place after the worker requested the woman not to dump her household garbage on the public road, which led to a heated argument and a subsequent physical altercation between the two individuals.

According to details provided by the Jagadgirigutta Police Inspector, B. Venkatesham, the accused woman arrived at the Deenabandhu Colony locality riding a motorcycle. She was carrying a bag filled with garbage with her, which she then proceeded to dump directly onto the roadside.

The sanitation worker, who was performing her duties in the area, objected to the littering. The worker approached the woman and requested her not to throw the waste on the road. However, the request was met with resistance, and a heated argument quickly ensued between the sanitation worker and the motorcycle rider.

During the course of this altercation, the situation escalated into physical violence. The police stated that the accused woman assaulted the sanitation worker. The victim was dragged by her hair and slapped by the accused before the assailant fled the spot on her motorcycle.

Following the incident, a formal complaint was officially lodged with the local police department by Maibu, who is an associate of the victim. Based on the complaint filed by Maibu, the Jagadgirigutta police registered a case against the unidentified woman.

Inspector B. Venkatesham confirmed that the identity of the accused woman is yet to be established. The Jagadgirigutta police have launched official efforts to trace and identify the woman in order to take further legal action.
