Water Supply Disruption in Gachibowli and Other Hyderabad Areas on August 29

Drinking water supply will be fully or partially disrupted, or available only at low pressure, across several parts of Hyderabad including Gachibowli for 24 hours starting from 10 am on August 29, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board announced.
The supply shutdown will remain in effect until 10 am on August 30 to facilitate pipeline junction works at Bandlaguda X Road.
According to a press statement from the HMWSSB, the work is being undertaken on the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project Phase-III, Ring Main-I pipeline. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is currently constructing a box drain at the Bandlaguda X Road junction, and the existing Krishna pipeline lies directly along the proposed drain alignment, necessitating the junction work.
Several reservoir command areas across the city will experience water supply interruptions during the maintenance period. The affected localities include Gachibowli, Madhapur, Jubilee Hills, Shastripuram, Bandlaguda, Shamshabad, Madhuban, Durga Nagar, Suleman Nagar, PDP, Golden Heights, Attapur, Kismatpur, 9 Number, Allabanda, Bhojagutta, Gandhanguda, Prasanna Nagar, and Tattikhana. In addition, select areas falling under the Shaikpet reservoir network will also face disruptions.
The water board indicated that consumers in these regions may experience a complete halt in supply, partial disruption, or low-pressure flow depending on their specific location within the reservoir command zones.
Officials from the HMWSSB have appealed to residents and consumers in all the affected neighbourhoods to conserve water and use their available supplies sparingly throughout the 24-hour maintenance period until regular pumping resumes.
