Warangal Super Specialty Hospital to Open in December, Says Health Minister

Telangana Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha has directed officials to complete all pending works at the Warangal Super Specialty Hospital by October and ensure the facility is ready to provide medical services by December.

The directive was issued during a review meeting held at the Secretariat in Hyderabad on Saturday. The Minister assessed the progress of construction works at the Warangal Super Specialty Hospital, as well as the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences facilities coming up in Alwal and LB Nagar.

Officials from the Roads and Buildings Department and representatives of the construction agencies informed the Minister that civil works at the Warangal hospital have reached the final stages and are slated for completion by October. The installation of medical equipment, including CT scan and X-ray machines, is currently underway and is expected to be finished by September.

Following the completion of construction and equipment setup, the Minister instructed officials to conduct a trial run of the Warangal facility starting in November. The state government plans to formally inaugurate the hospital in December to open medical services to the public.

The review meeting also examined the progress of the two upcoming TIMS hospitals in Hyderabad. Roads and Buildings Department officials informed the Minister that construction of the TIMS Alwal facility is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year. Meanwhile, the TIMS LB Nagar project is projected to reach completion by March 2027.
