Valluvarnagar secured a place in the final of the Bolarum Challenge Cup football tournament after defeating Hyderabad Globe 5-4 in a tense sudden death shootout in Bolarum on Friday, June 19, 2026.
The high-stakes semi-final match, which was organised by the Bolarum Sporting Club, saw both teams battle intensely throughout regulation time. However, neither side could break the deadlock on the field, leaving the teams locked in a goalless draw at the final whistle.
With the score tied at 0-0 at full time, the match proceeded to a dramatic penalty shootout to decide who would advance to the tournament's final. The shootout eventually went into sudden death as both sides fought to gain the upper hand under pressure.
