V Srinivas Goud Accuses Congress of Harassing BRS Leaders at Kodangal Meeting

On Friday, June 19, 2026, former Minister V Srinivas Goud accused the Congress government of harassing Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders with false cases during a party gathering in the Kodangal constituency of Narayanpet. Speaking at a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) awareness programme, Goud urged the ruling administration to stop targeting opposition leaders and instead focus on delivering its six election guarantees.
Goud charged that the Congress government has failed to fulfill the key promises it made to the public during the elections. Specifically, the former minister questioned the government over what he described as the poor implementation of the Rythu Bandhu financial support scheme and crop loan waivers. He also criticized the lack of progress on promised pension hikes and welfare commitments made to the Backward Classes (BCs).
In addition to welfare schemes, Goud raised concerns over the safety and security situation in the state. He criticized the government for failing to effectively address the issues faced by farmers, women, and weaker sections of society. He claimed that the law and order situation in Telangana is deteriorating, pointing to an increase in crimes against women, sexual assaults, and POCSO cases.
Addressing the party workers, Goud urged them to actively participate in the SIR programme. He emphasized that in a democratic system, the power of the vote provides citizens with the opportunity to elect committed and visionary leadership. He expressed strong confidence that the BRS would return to power in the next elections, asserting that BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao would become the Chief Minister for a third term.
The political meeting in Kodangal was also attended by former Minister P Sabithaindra Reddy and other senior BRS leaders who participated in the awareness programme.
