US Envoy Sergio Gor Meets Industry Leaders at Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad

US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor met with top business leaders from key strategic sectors during a high-level roundtable at the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad on Monday. The interaction focused on defence manufacturing, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and technology, with the objective of accelerating bilateral trade and securing high-tech supply chains.

The roundtable dinner was organized to boost commercial ties between the United States and India while converting strategic bilateral policies into practical business investments across South India. The gathering also marked the upcoming 250th anniversary of US Independence.

During the discussions, Ambassador Gor urged companies based in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha to take advantage of various bilateral policy frameworks. These include the TRUST Initiative, Pax Silica, the US-India COMPACT, and the US-India Strategic Mineral Recovery Initiative, highlighting them as key avenues for investment, supply-chain cooperation, and commercial expansion.

Addressing the industry leaders, Gor noted that the relationship between the two nations has evolved beyond diplomatic dialogue into active collaboration across multiple domains. He emphasized that the partnership now represents a concrete architecture of cooperation across defense, technology, life sciences, and space.

Gor added that this collaborative structure relies heavily on longstanding business-to-business connections, acknowledging that the executives present in the room had played a direct role in building those ties through ongoing commercial partnerships.
