US Envoy Sergio Gor Hosts Business Roundtable at Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD — United States Ambassador to India Sergio Gor and U.S. Consul General Laura Williams convened top Indian industry leaders and Telangana Minister D. Sridhar Babu at the historic Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad to accelerate bilateral trade, secure high-tech supply chains, and expand commercial partnerships.

The dinner, organised to commemorate the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, brought together C-suite executives representing defense manufacturing, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and technology. The gathering aimed to translate strategic bilateral policy into business investments across South India.

Highlighting the economic relationship between the two nations, Ambassador Gor noted that the partnership has expanded into a concrete architecture of cooperation across defense, technology, life sciences, and space. He stated that longstanding business-to-business partnerships form the foundation of this cooperation, helping drive Mission 500, a shared bilateral goal of reaching $500 billion in trade by 2030.

U.S. Consul General Laura Williams highlighted South India's pivotal role in the relationship, pointing to emerging technology, data, and critical mineral partnerships across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha.

Ambassador Gor encouraged business leaders across the region to utilize frameworks such as the TRUST Initiative, Pax Silica, the U.S.-India COMPACT, and the U.S.-India Strategic Mineral Recovery Initiative to pursue direct investment, market access, and supply-chain collaborations.
