Uppal Residents Rally at Secretariat in Support of HYDRAA Land Protection Drive

Residents from several neighborhoods in Uppal, including Medipally, Vattinagulapally, Jayalaxmi Colony, and Boduppal, organized a rally from NTR Gardens to the Secretariat in Hyderabad to show their support for the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA). The march was held to appreciate the agency's ongoing drive to protect government lands from illegal encroachments.
The participants, who represented four residential colonies in the Uppal area, raised slogans and carried placards during the march. The demonstrators expressed their appreciation for the efforts of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and HYDRAA Commissioner A V Ranganath in reclaiming public properties.
Among the active participants were residents of Telephone Colony in Medipally, as well as community members from Vattinagulapally, Jayalaxmi Colony, and Boduppal. The rally aimed to highlight the positive impact of the agency's anti-encroachment operations.
During the demonstration, the Uppal residents formally urged the State government to expand the jurisdiction of HYDRAA across the entire state. They stated that extending the agency's limits beyond the current boundaries would help protect government lands in other regions and allow authorities to crack down on land grabbers statewide.
According to the rally organizers, HYDRAA has already successfully protected public land worth more than Rs. 1 lakh crore through its various enforcement drives. The residents called on the State government to strengthen the agency on all fronts, providing it with the necessary backing to continue its land protection mission and to ensure public assets remain safe from illegal occupation.
