Union Minister Kishan Reddy to Review Infra Projects Across Chevella Constituency

Union minister G. Kishan Reddy will undertake an extensive tour across the Chevella parliamentary constituency on Sunday to review infrastructure projects funded by the Central government, BJP Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy announced on Saturday.

During the visit, Kishan Reddy will travel to Chevella, Vikarabad, and Tandur to inspect ongoing development works on the ground. MP Vishweshwar Reddy stated that he would accompany the Union minister throughout the inspection schedule.

According to Vishweshwar Reddy, more than 90 per cent of road construction and basic infrastructure work across the constituency is being executed through Central allocations. These include national highway funds, the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF), the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), MGNREGS, and MPLADS resources.

Among the key projects under review is the Chevella–Vikarabad–Vijayapura national highway, which had resumed construction and was making steady progress. The project is expected to reach completion within the next six months. Work on the Manneguda–Vijayapura highway stretch is also underway, the MP said.

The tour will also cover railway infrastructure upgrades. Kishan Reddy is scheduled to inspect modernisation works at both Vikarabad and Tandur railway stations, which are being revamped to airport-like standards under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

In addition to project inspections, the Union minister will participate in the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat programme and attend a CSR-funded community development initiative organised by a local non-governmental organisation. Kishan Reddy will also preside over the oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed Vikarabad district BJP president before heading to Mahbubnagar for the next leg of his tour.

Vishweshwar Reddy also criticised the state government over issues affecting farmers, students, and unemployed youth, stating that BJP leaders have prepared a phased plan of public agitations to demand solutions for agrarian distress and student grievances.
