Union Minister Kishan Reddy Inspects Rs 27 Crore Vikarabad Railway Station Works

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and Chevella Member of Parliament Konda Vishweshwar Reddy inspected the ongoing modernisation works at the Vikarabad Railway Station in Vikarabad. The comprehensive redevelopment of the station is being executed at an estimated cost of Rs 27 crore.

During the visit, the leaders reviewed the overall progress of the construction activity and took stock of the development works currently underway. They interacted with the project engineers and directed the concerned officials to ensure the works are completed strictly within the scheduled timeline while maintaining high quality standards throughout the execution.

Addressing the gathering, Kishan Reddy stated that a total of 42 railway stations across Telangana are undergoing simultaneous development and modernisation to upgrade passenger infrastructure.

Providing details regarding the Vikarabad project, the Union Minister noted that the Rs 27 crore initiative includes several passenger amenities. As part of the upgrade, the station will be equipped with two escalators, two lifts, a new canteen, and dedicated facilities designed for persons with disabilities, along with other modern passenger infrastructure.

Kishan Reddy highlighted that enhanced railway connectivity and upgraded station facilities would play a key role in supporting the broader development of Vikarabad.
