Two More Doctors Suspended at Jogipet Area Hospital in Sangareddy

Two more doctors have been suspended from the 100-bed Jogipet Area Hospital in Sangareddy district after authorities found that private practitioners were allegedly performing duties on their behalf.

The suspended doctors have been identified as Dr Shiva Shankar Reddy and Dr Tulja Bhavani. Action was taken against them following official findings that unauthorized private doctors had been carrying out their scheduled hospital responsibilities.

The latest action follows the recent suspension of Dr Ramesh, who was also suspended after officials discovered that he had allegedly allowed a private doctor to attend to duties in his place at the same facility.

Telangana Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha expressed deep anguish over the alleged negligence and operational lapses by hospital officials.

Following the discovery, the Jogipet Police registered an FIR in connection with the matter. A police investigation is currently underway.

Police officials stated that private doctors found working in the government healthcare facility in place of the officially designated doctors will face criminal cases.
