Two men stage fake bike fall to steal Rs 1 lakh phone in Saroornagar

Two unidentified men staged a fake motorcycle fall to distract a helpful passerby and stole his mobile phone valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh in Saroornagar, Hyderabad, on Monday.

The Saroornagar police have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the suspects, who were captured on a nearby security camera during the act.

According to the police, the incident occurred when the two suspects arrived in Saroornagar riding a motorcycle that did not feature a number plate. In a bid to create a distraction, the duo deliberately pretended to fall on the road with their vehicle.

A passerby who was in the area witnessed the apparent accident and rushed to help the two men. However, the suspects exploited the helper's distraction. While the victim was attempting to assist them, the duo swiftly stole his costly mobile phone, which is valued at around Rs 1 lakh.

After successfully stealing the device, the two suspects quickly fled the scene on the same motorcycle they had arrived on.

The entire sequence of events was captured on a nearby CCTV camera. Following a complaint regarding the theft, the Saroornagar police registered a formal case. Investigators are now closely examining the CCTV footage in order to identify the two unidentified thieves and trace their whereabouts.
