Two Killed in Wrong-Side Scooter Collision on AMB Flyover in Gachibowli

Two people lost their lives and another was injured on Friday morning, June 26, 2026, following a severe head-on collision on the AMB Flyover along the Hafeezpet-Gachibowli stretch in Hyderabad. The fatal accident involved a scooter and a Royal Enfield motorcycle.
According to the local police, the accident occurred during the morning hours when a scooter, which was traveling on the wrong side of the flyover, crashed directly into the oncoming Royal Enfield motorcycle.
The two individuals who were riding the scooter at the time of the collision were identified by the police as Srikanth and Vittal. Both Srikanth and Vittal sustained multiple grievous injuries from the heavy impact of the head-on crash. The local police confirmed that the severity of their injuries resulted in both riders dying on the spot.
The rider of the Royal Enfield motorcycle was identified by authorities as Vinod. Vinod also sustained injuries in the collision. Following the crash, he was quickly shifted to a nearby private hospital, where he was admitted to receive medical treatment for his injuries.
Upon receiving information about the collision on the flyover, the local police rushed to the accident spot to secure the area. After arriving at the scene, the officers registered a case regarding the accident and officially took up the investigation.
The police are now investigating the exact circumstances that led to the scooter traveling on the wrong side of the flyover and causing the head-on collision. As part of the standard procedures, the bodies of the two deceased victims, Srikanth and Vittal, were shifted to a hospital for an autopsy.
