Two killed and four injured as car crashes into house near Uppal village

Two men lost their lives and four others sustained injuries on Sunday morning after their car crashed on the outskirts of Uppal village, located under the Kamalapur police station limits in Hanumakonda district. The vehicle reportedly lost control, struck a road divider, and rammed into a roadside house.
The victims of the fatal crash were identified as K Srinivas, who resided in Lakshmipur village within Karimnagar district, and T Bhargav, a resident of Peddapalli district.
According to Kamalapur inspector P Naveen, the group of six individuals, including Srinivas and Bhargav, had recently returned to Telangana from Assam. They arrived by flight at the Hyderabad airport on Saturday night. Following their arrival, they commenced their journey by car from Hyderabad, travelling towards Kamalapur.
The accident took place as the car was passing through the outskirts of Uppal village. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which then collided with a road divider and crashed directly into a roadside house. Police officials noted that the house was unoccupied at the time of the collision, preventing further casualties inside the structure.
Srinivas died on the spot due to the severity of the impact. Bhargav suffered critical injuries, while the four other passengers in the vehicle were also injured in the crash.
Local residents who witnessed the accident immediately contacted the local authorities. Upon receiving the information, a team from the Kamalapur police station rushed to the spot to initiate rescue operations.
The police emergency team shifted the severely injured Bhargav to the Huzurabad government hospital so he could receive medical treatment. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Bhargav succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Inspector P Naveen confirmed that the Kamalapur police have registered a case concerning the fatal accident. A police investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
