Two Hyderabad Youths Detained at Tiruvannamalai Temple for Wearing Smart Glasses

Two youths from Hyderabad were detained on Saturday after allegedly attempting to photograph deities using camera-equipped smart glasses at the Arunachaleswarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai.

The individuals, identified as Bhavnesh and Mahesh, had visited the temple for darshan while wearing the camera smart glasses.

Temple employees who were deployed near the sanctum noticed the duo wearing the devices. The staff intercepted the two youths and subsequently handed them over to the Tiruvannamalai Town police.

According to reports, the youths allegedly attempted to photograph Arunachaleswarar and Unnamalai Amman inside the temple using the wearable technology.
