Two Bihar laborers found dead under suspicious circumstances near Kodad highway

The bodies of two laborers from Bihar were found under suspicious circumstances on Friday night near Sringinagaram, located under the Kodad town limits close to the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway in Suryapet.

Although authorities initially suspected that the duo might have died in a road accident, local police have registered a case of suspicious death after discovering clothes and other items scattered around the scene.

The deceased have been identified by the police as Ramu and Shiva. According to law enforcement officials, both of the deceased men had been residing in the area and working as laborers at a local rice mill in Kodad for the past two years.

The incident occurred late on Friday night. According to the police, Ramu and Shiva were returning to Kodad on a two-wheeler after eating outside. They were traveling along the highway when the fatal incident took place.

The situation came to light when local residents spotted the two bodies lying near the highway. The locals immediately contacted the police to report the discovery. Upon receiving the information, the Kodad Police rushed to the spot. With the assistance of the local residents, the police were able to identify the deceased as Ramu and Shiva.

During the initial inspection of the scene, officers found a two-wheeler near the bodies. However, what drew the attention of the investigators was the presence of clothes and various other items strewn across the area. This led the police to suspect foul play rather than a straightforward traffic accident.

Kodad Circle Inspector (CI) Shivashankar Naik confirmed that a case has been registered under suspicious circumstances. He stated that the police are currently examining the incident from various angles to establish the sequence of events that led to the deaths.

The bodies of Ramu and Shiva have been transported to the Kodad Area Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. The police investigation is ongoing.
