Two Arrested, Over 3 kg of Ganja Seized in King Koti and Allampalli Raids

The Prohibition and Excise sleuths in Hyderabad conducted two separate operations on Tuesday, 14 July 2026, which led to the arrest of two suspected drug peddlers and the seizure of more than three kilograms of ganja. The raids took place in the King Koti and Allampalli localities of the city, with subsequent cases registered at the Nampally and LB Nagar Excise stations.

In the first of the two operations, an Enforcement team led by Inspector Mahesh targeted a house in the King Koti area. During the search of the residential premises, the team successfully discovered and seized 2.4 kilograms of ganja. The officials arrested the suspect at the scene, who was identified as Gulzar Khan. Following the successful raid, both Khan and the recovered contraband were handed over to the Nampally Excise Station for further investigation.

The second operation was carried out by the LB Nagar District Task Force (DTF) team in the Allampalli area. The task force caught a man identified as Nitish and searched him, leading to the recovery of 671 grams of ganja from his possession. Nitish was arrested and subsequently handed over to the LB Nagar Excise Station. A case has been officially registered against him at the station, and further investigations into his activities are currently underway.

According to the Prohibition and Excise authorities, both of the arrested individuals were planning to distribute and sell the cannabis to customers in order to earn money illegally. The two separate operations highlight the actions of local excise units, including the Enforcement team and the District Task Force, in tracking down individuals involved in the illegal trade of narcotics across different neighborhoods in Hyderabad.

The Nampally and LB Nagar Excise stations are handling the respective cases as the investigations proceed.
