Two Arrested at Gowrelly X Road with Rs 1.75 Crore Worth of Hashish Oil

The LB Nagar Special Operations Team and Nagole police busted an interstate drug trafficking racket on Friday, arresting two men and seizing 14.2 kilograms of hashish oil valued at approximately Rs 1.75 crore during vehicle checks at Gowrelly X Road.

Police intercepted a motorcycle at the checkpoint and detained the suspects, identified as T Nagaraju and N Narayana, alias Kiran. Both individuals are natives of Alluri Sitarama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh and were found carrying the contraband.

According to investigators, the accused were tasked with smuggling the narcotics into Hyderabad by an interstate supplier. During questioning, the duo disclosed that a supplier named T Gopal, a resident of Singavaram village in the Malkangiri district of Odisha, had handed over two bags containing around 7 kg of hashish oil each for delivery in the city.

Gopal allegedly promised to pay each courier Rs 1 lakh for transporting the substance to Hyderabad. To avoid law enforcement checkpoints along major highways, the two men travelled through rural and interior village roads.

Police stated that the final delivery instructions and recipient details were scheduled to be shared with the couriers only after their arrival in Hyderabad.

Both Nagaraju and Narayana have prior records of involvement in narcotics offenses. The Nagole police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation to trace the absconding supplier Gopal, as well as identify the local consumers and the broader distribution network connected to the operation.
