TSWRTU Leaders Meet TGSWREIS Secretary Over Promotions and Pending Arrears

HYDERABAD — Representatives from the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Teachers Union and Degree and Junior Colleges PDs and PETs Associations met TGSWREIS Secretary K Sarada on Tuesday in Hyderabad, demanding timely promotions, the release of pending dearness allowance arrears, and the regularisation of eligible staff.

The delegation, led by association chairman Dr. Rama Laxman and TSWRTU president Balaswamy, urged the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society to promote all eligible cadres, including Physical Directors Grade-II to Grade-I, strictly in accordance with established rules and seniority lists.

The teacher leaders also called for the immediate clearance and release of all pending DA arrears sanctioned under relevant government orders and instalments. In addition, the associations sought the complete regularisation and formal declaration of probation for teachers regularised in 2023, as well as the regularisation of staff recruited in 2024. They pressed for the issuance of official regularisation orders to newly regularised Physical Education Teachers who previously served on a contract basis.

Key among the other demands submitted to the society was a hike in remuneration for part-time and outsourcing personnel, including part-time PDs and PETs, aligning their pay with approved provisions in comparable residential educational societies. The associations further requested the sanctioning of Rs 30,000 per institution to procure games and sports material, along with the formulation of a comprehensive job chart outlining the roles and responsibilities of PDs and PETs across institutional, academy, zonal, and society levels.

According to the association representatives, TGSWREIS Secretary K Sarada responded positively to the representations and issued instructions to officials to examine the grievances and address them at the earliest.
