TSREDCO Orders Completion Of 37 Model Solar Villages In Telangana By July End

During a high-level video conference held on Tuesday, Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) Vice Chairman and Managing Director Musharraf Faruqui directed officials in Hyderabad to complete all 37 model solar village works by the end of July. The clean energy project, being implemented under the state government's initiative, focuses on grid synchronization, net metering, and rooftop solar installations.

The review meeting specifically focused on the progress of the 37 model solar villages being implemented within the Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGNPDCL) jurisdiction.

Karnati Varun Reddy, the Chairman and Managing Director of TGNPDCL, attended the video conference from the TGNPDCL Corporate Office located at Nakkalagutta in Hanumakonda. He was joined by the Superintending Engineers of all ten circles and other concerned officials involved in the clean energy initiative.

During the session, Faruqui instructed the Superintending Engineers to maintain continuous coordination among TSREDCO, TGNPDCL, and the implementing agencies to ensure all works are completed within the stipulated timeline. He directed officials to resolve minor issues at the field level immediately and complete technical processes like grid synchronization and net metering without any delay. Faruqui emphasized that any technical difficulties must be addressed promptly through close coordination among all stakeholders to maintain the pace of work.

Addressing the participants, TGNPDCL CMD Karnati Varun Reddy instructed officials to expedite the installation of rooftop solar panels on houses in the identified model solar villages. He stated that the required meters are readily available and instructed the Superintending Engineers to complete the works on a war footing.

According to Reddy, once the rooftop solar installations are completed in the model solar villages, the next phase of the project will involve installing solar pump sets for agricultural pump connections.
