Tribal Residents Rename Dahiguda Hamlet After Collector Rajarshi Shah

Residents of Dahiguda, a remote Kolam tribal hamlet under the Pippaldhari Gram Panchayat, have renamed their village ‘Rajarshi Shahguda’ in appreciation of District Collector Rajarshi Shah, whose initiatives helped secure housing and key infrastructure for the community.

The Collector visited the newly renamed hamlet to personally inaugurate the house-warming ceremonies of three completed Indiramma Houses. The visit followed earlier sanctions that provided house-site pattas and Indiramma Houses to 17 poor tribal families in the hamlet.

During a Gram Sabha organised on the occasion, Collector Rajarshi Shah interacted with the tribal residents to assess their ongoing requirements. He announced the sanction of 10 additional Indiramma Houses across the Pippaldhari Gram Panchayat area and committed to further developmental support.

To improve local economic conditions, the Collector announced the provision of goat and dairy buffalo units, free tailoring machine training for women, and employment opportunities in Adilabad for youth with degree qualifications.

Addressing pressing civic issues raised by villagers, including power supply, transportation, and cellular connectivity, the Collector issued directives to local department officials. He instructed the Executive Engineer of the Electricity department to ensure an uninterrupted power supply to the hamlet.

The administration also confirmed that land will be identified and allotted for the construction of a mobile tower to resolve mobile network issues. In addition, the EDM and Panchayat Secretaries were tasked with immediately facilitating Aadhaar enrolment for residents who currently lack identity cards.

Further measures announced during the visit included steps to establish road connectivity with CD works to the remote Mamidikori village, sanction farm ponds for farmers under the Jalasiri programme, and extend Cheyutha pensions to all eligible beneficiaries.
