Trainee IPS Officer Uday Krishna Reddy Gets Bail in Harassment Case

A local court in Upparpally on Tuesday granted conditional bail to trainee IPS officer Uday Krishna Reddy in connection with an alleged sexual harassment case involving a fellow woman trainee IPS officer.
The relief came after Reddy spent 67 days in judicial custody at Chanchalguda jail. The court issued the conditional bail orders following a hearing and arguments presented in the case.
The case against Reddy was initiated by the Attapur police following a complaint lodged by the woman trainee officer. According to the complaint, Reddy allegedly sent intimate videos involving her to her husband, even after her marriage had taken place.
Following the registration of the case, Reddy was arrested by the Attapur police and remanded to Chanchalguda jail. The criminal proceedings also resulted in his official suspension from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA).
Reddy had previously served as a police constable before clearing the civil services examination and rising to the rank of the Indian Police Service.
