TPCC Chief Marks 1,000 Days of Congress Government in Telangana

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B Mahesh Kumar Goud marked the completion of 1,000 days of the Congress government in Hyderabad on Monday, describing the milestone as an era of major support for the education, health, and welfare sectors.

In a post on social media platform X, the state party chief extended his congratulations and best wishes to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, cabinet ministers, people's representatives, and party cadre across the state.

Highlighting the government's initiatives, Goud stated that agricultural welfare had been placed at the top of the administrative agenda. The government implemented a crop loan waiver of up to Rs. 2 lakh, which provided relief to approximately 25 lakh farmers across the state. In addition, financial assistance under the Rythu Bharosa scheme was raised to Rs. 12,000 per acre, supporting rural livelihood and agricultural productivity.

According to the TPCC chief, total expenditure on the agriculture sector reached a record Rs. 1.75 lakh crore. The government also spent Rs. 30,000 crore on providing free electricity for agricultural operations, alongside allocating nearly Rs. 4,000 crore for fine grain bonuses and spending Rs. 3,500 crore on the Rythu Bima scheme.

In the social welfare sector, the administration has provided free electricity up to 200 units to domestic consumers under the Griha Jyothi scheme and supplied LPG cylinders at a subsidised rate of Rs. 500. To strengthen food security, the government issued 16.32 lakh new ration cards, taking the total to 1.06 crore food security cards that benefit 3.43 crore people.
