Three Arrested in LB Nagar with 6 Kg Ganja Worth Rs 3 Lakh

The EAGLE Force, operating in coordination with the LB Nagar police, apprehended three individuals and seized a 6 kg consignment of ganja estimated to be worth Rs 3 lakh in the LB Nagar locality of Hyderabad on Monday. The joint operation intercepted the suspects at approximately 4 am as the illegal contraband was being transferred.

The three arrested persons have been identified by law enforcement as 30-year-old Sunitha Nag, a resident of Chhattisgarh; her associate Pojja Dirdo; and 27-year-old Manchala Rajesh, who hails from Nagarkurnool district. Police confirmed that another primary suspect in the operation escaped during the police action.

According to investigators, the supply network originated in Malkangiri, Odisha, where Sunitha's cousin, Lakhan, procured the ganja from cultivators. Lakhan transported the drug to Hyderabad, selling it to Sunitha at a rate of Rs 3,500 per kilogram. Sunitha then allegedly marked up and resold the ganja to a buyer named Satyanarayana, also known as Satya, for Rs 14,000 per kilogram.

Police reported that Satya placed an order for a 6 kg consignment of ganja five days before the arrests took place. Sunitha procured the required quantity on Sunday and travelled with her associate, Pojja Dirdo, to Hyderabad. The duo arrived at LB Nagar around 4 am on Monday morning to carry out the delivery.

Law enforcement officers moved in to intercept the group during the physical exchange of the consignment. While Manchala Rajesh was taken into custody alongside Sunitha Nag and Pojja Dirdo, Satya managed to flee the scene and evade arrest.

Investigators have identified six consumers linked to the illegal trade. Police are currently searching for four absconding individuals associated with the case, identified as Lakhan, Satya, Mallesh, and Shivashankar. A formal case regarding the seizure and supply network has been registered at the LB Nagar police station.
