Three Arrested in Jubilee Hills for Assault Case Involving Minister's Ex-OSD

The Jubilee Hills police on Monday arrested three individuals in connection with the alleged assault on G Hari Krishna by Sumanth, a former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Minister Konda Surekha, and his associates.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Arun, Mahender, and Karthik. Following their arrest, the police produced them before a local court, which remanded them to judicial custody. Sumanth, who is considered a close associate of the Konda family, remains absconding.

According to the police, the incident stems from a dispute on July 30, when Sumanth reportedly contacted Hari Krishna to question him regarding the alleged misuse of Sumanth's name in financial dealings involving Arun, Mahender, and Karthik.

During a subsequent meeting between the parties, Sumanth and the other accused allegedly attacked Hari Krishna with an iron rod. The assault left Hari Krishna with a fracture, requiring hospitalisation.

After being discharged from the hospital, Hari Krishna initially lodged a complaint with the Medipally police. The case was subsequently transferred to the Jubilee Hills police station for further investigation.

The development comes amid an ongoing political controversy involving Minister Konda Surekha's daughter, Sushmitha.
