Thousands Join Milad-Un-Nabi Procession in Nizamabad; Leaders Call for Unity

Thousands of Muslims, youth, and Congress leaders and workers took part in Milad-un-Nabi celebrations in Nizamabad on Wednesday. The massive procession commenced from Quilla Road and passed through the city as large numbers of participants joined the festivities.

Following the procession, Government adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud attended programmes at Jubilee Hotel on Quilla Road and addressed a public meeting held near Quilla Road and Nehru Park.

Speaking at the event, Shabbir Ali urged people to rise above differences of caste, religion, language, and region to protect Telangana’s tradition of communal harmony and Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb. He noted that the teachings of Prophet Mohammed—including peace, compassion, patience, brotherhood, and concern for fellow human beings—remain relevant to society as a whole, encouraging the public to respect one another and support those in difficulty.

Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that the Prophet’s message of peace, brotherhood, and humanity continues to guide society, calling for greater mutual respect and unity across communities.

Shabbir Ali added that the state government remains committed to the welfare and development of all sections of society without discrimination, affirming that the Congress party stands for equal opportunities and respect for every citizen.

The event was attended by Rythu Commission member Gadugu Gangadhar, Urdu Academy chairman Taher, Nizamabad Urban Development Authority (NUDA) chairman Kesha Venu, and Tappers Association chairman B. Shekhar Goud. Senior leaders Narala Ratnakar, Javed Akram, Quddus, and Haroon were also present, along with local corporators, co-option members, and Milad committee organizers.
