Thousands Join Milad Peace Juloos from Charminar Under Tight Security

Thousands of people participated in the Milad Peace Juloos taken out from Charminar on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed. The procession was flagged off at 1 pm by Charminar MLA Mir Zulfeqar Ali in the presence of senior police officials and community members.

The main procession commenced from Charminar and was scheduled to move through Gulzar Houz, Pathergatti, Madina Building, Nayapul, Darulshifa, Mandi Mir Alam, and Alijah Kotla before culminating at Moghalpura. Several smaller processions from various neighbourhoods across the city joined the primary route along the way.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar welcomed the procession at Charminar. He was joined by Additional Commissioners Tafseer Iqubal (South Range) and M Srinivas (Crimes), as well as Deputy Commissioners of Police Kiran Kharen (Charminar), Chaitanya Kumar (Detective Department), and Vaibhav Gaikvad (Task Force).

To ensure security and manage traffic, around 2,000 police personnel from various wings were deployed across the route. The police set up elaborate arrangements including surveillance teams, camera-mounted vehicles, CCTV monitoring, and drone surveillance across the procession pathways and sensitive spots.

Similar local processions and gatherings were also taken out in areas such as Golconda, Borabanda, Erragadda, Sanathnagar, Hafeezpet, and Bowenpally.

Alongside the procession, several socio-religious organisations held events across the city. All India Tameer-e-Millat organised a large public meeting at the Numaish Grounds, while All India Bazm-e-Rehmat-e-Alam presented Deepak Kumar, known as 'Muhammad' Deepak, with the Rehmat-e-Alam Peace Award. Blood donation camps were also conducted at the Charminar Bus Stand, Asafia Library in Afzalgunj by the FOCUS organisation, and Vijay Nagar Colony.
