TGTDC to Upgrade Haritha Hotels to Star-Hotel Standards, Adds Kitchen CCTV

Hyderabad: The Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) has announced plans to upgrade its Haritha Hotels across the state to star-hotel standards, placing a strong emphasis on food quality, hygiene, accommodation, maintenance, and guest services.

As part of the quality enforcement drive, TGTDC Managing Director Gowthami Pujari has been conducting surprise inspections of Haritha Hotel properties to evaluate their operational condition firsthand. Following an inspection, departmental action was initiated against the unit manager of Haritha Hotel in Vikarabad after lapses were identified in maintaining prescribed standards.

According to an official statement, particular emphasis during the inspections is being placed on kitchen hygiene and food quality. The corporation has issued strict directives to all hotel units, instructing management and staff not to compromise on the required benchmarks. TGTDC reiterated that disciplinary action will be taken against any personnel found negligent in upholding these standards.

To strengthen ongoing oversight, the tourism corporation is installing CCTV-based live monitoring systems inside the kitchens of all Haritha Hotel units. The camera network is intended to provide continuous monitoring of food preparation practices, kitchen cleanliness, and staff activities.

In addition to the operational and hygiene improvements, TGTDC is introducing technological upgrades for guests. The corporation is implementing an automated booking system designed to allow visitors to check real-time room availability and make online reservations across Haritha Hotel locations.
