TGSRTC to Launch Night Bus Services on Six Routes Including Hitec City on August 29

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will launch dedicated night bus services across six major transit routes, including key corridors serving Hitec City, starting from August 29. The new initiative is designed to assist late-night commuters, particularly IT employees, hospitality sector workers, and students whose routines extend well beyond standard operating hours.

According to RTC authorities, the night services will run broadly between 10 pm and 5 am. Buses are scheduled to operate at intervals ranging from 30 minutes to one hour, with departure times and frequencies structured around commuter demand.

Two of the designated routes directly connect the western technology corridor. These include route 10H, which will run between Secunderabad and Hitec City via Kondapur, and route 222A, linking Koti and Patancheru via Hitec City.

The other four identified routes comprise route 290U between Secunderabad and Hayathnagar, the route between Koti and Patancheru, route 219 connecting Secunderabad and Patancheru, and route 195W operating across Bachupally and surrounding areas.

Under the initial operational framework, TGSRTC plans to deploy approximately eight buses on each of the six routes. Officials noted that late-night travellers frequently rely on private transport, cabs, and other alternatives because of the absence of regular bus services during overnight hours. The new fleet is intended to offer a reliable and affordable public transit option.

TGSRTC officials stated that the corporation will monitor passenger patronage closely after the August 29 rollout. Based on commuter response and travel trends, the corporation plans to make operational modifications, which may include adjusting service frequencies, altering timings, or changing the number of deployed buses on specific routes.
