TGSRTC, Hyderabad Metro Launch Integrated Travel Pass and MeeTicket App

TGSRTC, Hyderabad Metro Launch Integrated Travel Pass and MeeTicket App

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) and Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) have introduced a common travel pass on 1 October 2026, allowing passengers to use both city buses and Metro services across Hyderabad within the Outer Ring Road. The initiative is designed to create seamless transfers between the two transport modes and bridge last-mile connectivity gaps for urban commuters.

The integrated pass is available for purchase at all Hyderabad Metro stations. Commuters can use it on Metro Rail services and on all categories of city bus services operating within the Outer Ring Road limits, with Pushpak services excluded.

The service specifically targets passengers who depend on city buses to reach nearby Metro stations before continuing their onward journeys by rail. Transport officials expect the pass to enhance connectivity between Metro lines and residential, commercial, and other localities served by the state bus network.

The integration brings together two major public transit networks in the city. TGSRTC operates an extensive bus network carrying roughly 25 lakh passengers each day in Greater Hyderabad, while Hyderabad Metro Rail accommodates around 4.5 lakh passengers daily across its three operational corridors.

Alongside the common travel pass, TGSRTC also rolled out the MeeTicket mobile application to bring paperless ticketing to city bus routes. The application provides an open-ticketing facility that allows passengers to purchase bus tickets and transit passes directly from their mobile phones.

To use the app, commuters select their designated boarding point, destination, and ticket category before completing a digital payment. MeeTicket then issues a digital ticket containing a dynamic QR code, which passengers present to bus conductors and checking staff for verification during transit.

Beyond single-journey tickets, the application also offers daily, weekly, and monthly bus passes to commuters. The platform enables passengers to manage their regular travel passes digitally without needing physical paper documentation.
