TGSRTC Developing MeeTicket App to Integrate Buses, Metro, Autos and Cabs

HYDERABAD — The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation is developing a new unified digital platform named 'MeeTicket' to bring multiple public and private transport services together under a single interface.

The initiative, developed through MeeSeva, is designed to streamline daily travel across Hyderabad and Telangana by integrating state-run RTC buses, Metro rail services, autorickshaws, and private cabs into one comprehensive booking system.

Under the proposed platform, passengers will be able to book bus or Metro tickets while simultaneously scheduling an auto or cab for first-mile or last-mile connectivity. The entire journey can be planned and booked within the same application interface, allowing users to choose their preferred modes of transport for different legs of their commute.

The system will feature integrated digital payment mechanisms. When a commuter books a multi-modal journey, the fare will be collected digitally and automatically transferred to the respective transport service providers, operators, or private partners involved in the trip.

According to TGSRTC, the platform will be open to private auto and cab drivers as well as other transport operators. These operators will be able to register as partners on the platform to offer their transit services directly to passengers.

TGSRTC also addressed and dismissed speculation regarding potential plans for the corporation to launch its own dedicated fleet of autorickshaws. The management issued a clarification stating that there is no proposal to purchase or operate corporation-owned autos, either at present or in the future.

The transport corporation urged commuters and auto drivers to disregard unverified claims and social media rumours suggesting that TGSRTC intends to enter direct competition with auto drivers by managing an independent auto fleet.
