TGSPDCL CMD Jitesh V Patil Meets Field Staff in Yousufguda to Improve Safety Standards

TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil conducted a special interactive session with field-level power employees on July 8, 2026, at the Central Power Training Institute (CPTI) in Yousufguda, Hyderabad. The session was organized to address safety concerns, operational challenges, and accident prevention measures directly with the staff who work on the ground.

The programme was attended by 40 employees, comprising two representatives from each of the 21 circles under the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL). The participants included Linemen, Assistant Linemen, and Junior Linemen, who represent the front line of the utility's operations.

During the meet, Patil directly interacted with the field staff to understand the specific challenges they face daily. The discussions centered on safety standards to be followed while climbing electric poles, the strict implementation of Line Clearance (LC) procedures, and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The session also covered accident prevention measures and safety protocols to be followed during emergency situations. Patil sought direct feedback from the employees regarding the practical difficulties they encounter when trying to implement these safety standards at the field level, suggesting appropriate remedial measures to overcome them.

Employees were encouraged to share their personal experiences, suggestions, and views to help strengthen the safety culture within the organization. The utility stated that the feedback received during this interaction will be used to formulate new guidelines and measures to further improve workplace safety.

The TGSPDCL management reiterated its commitment to the principle that "every employee should return home safely after performing their duties," stating that employee safety remains its highest priority. The management noted that the interactive session will help develop a more effective action plan for accident prevention and enhance safety practices across the organization.
