TG20 League Playoffs Set to Begin at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Uppal

The playoffs of the inaugural Sreenidhi University TG20 League are set to begin on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Uppal. The tournament's postseason will determine the first-ever champion of the league, with the grand finale scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2026.

The action starts with the sudden-death Eliminator match between the Ranga Reddy Risers and EIPL & Eleve Karimnagar Diamonds. Later in the evening on Thursday, the undefeated Hyderabad E-Champions will face the Anvita Khammam Aces in Qualifier 1.

The winner of Qualifier 1 will secure a direct place in Sunday's final. The losing team will receive a second chance in Qualifier 2 on Friday, July 10, where they will play against the winner of the Eliminator match.

The Ranga Reddy Risers secured their playoff spot after a dramatic turnaround, defeating the Warangal Warriors by 161 runs in their final league fixture. The team has heavily relied on Aditya Javvaji, who scored 286 runs in the league stage, and spinner Aryan Cariappa, who has taken 11 wickets.

Their opponents, the Karimnagar Diamonds, bounced back from losing their opening two matches. Tanmay Agarwal has paced their batting with 328 runs, including two centuries. Their bowling attack features Rathlavath Dinesh with nine wickets, alongside Narayana Teja and Shubham Sharma with eight wickets each.

In Qualifier 1, the Hyderabad E-Champions enter as the tournament's benchmark team and the only unbeaten side. Abhirath Reddy has led their batting lineup with 418 runs at a strike rate of 220, supported by Ganesh Gadugu's 224 runs. On the bowling front, Ajay Dev Goud leads the league with 16 wickets, while Pranav Varma has taken nine wickets.

They face the Anvita Khammam Aces, one of the league's most explosive batting lineups. Kodimela Himateja leads the Aces with 430 runs at an average of 107.5. The Aces' bowling is spearheaded by 16-year-old Ved Reddy, who has 12 wickets, and captain CV Milind, who has taken nine wickets.
