Tensions Escalate in Shabad as Protesters Confront MLA Kale Yadaiah Over Six Murders

Tensions escalated in Shabad, Ranga Reddy district, on 11 July 2026 after relatives of six murder victims and local residents staged a protest alleging police negligence, leading to a direct confrontation with local MLA Kale Yadaiah. The demonstrators gathered in large numbers to demand immediate action against police officials and the handover of the suspect involved in the killings.

The protest began following the gruesome killing of six individuals in the locality. Seeking justice for the deceased, the bereaved families and local residents organized a dharna. The protesters claimed that the tragic incident could have been avoided, alleging that the police failed to act despite earlier complaints being lodged against the suspect. They openly accused the police department of negligence, which they argued led directly to the murders.

The demonstration took a tense turn when local MLA Kale Yadaiah arrived at the dharna site to meet with the grieving families. His presence provoked a strong reaction from the agitating crowd, who questioned his delayed response to the tragedy and expressed deep anger over how the authorities were handling the case.

As emotions ran high among the gathered crowd, several protesters rushed towards the MLA, raising slogans and confronting him directly. Seeing the situation deteriorate, police personnel on the scene intervened immediately. They formed a tight security cordon around the legislator to protect him and prevent any untoward incidents from occurring.

With the tensions continuing to rise, police officials escorted MLA Kale Yadaiah away from the protest venue to ensure his safety. Following his departure, a heavy police deployment remained stationed at the protest site in Shabad to maintain law and order and prevent any further escalation of violence in the area.
