Telugu Celebrities Praise Balan The Boy At Hyderabad Screening

A celebrity screening of the film 'Balan: The Boy' was held in Hyderabad on June 22, 2026, drawing overwhelming praise from prominent Telugu film industry personalities. The special screening has significantly raised audience expectations, establishing the thriller as one of the most highly anticipated films of the year.

During the event, actress Shriya Kontham admitted she found it difficult to articulate her feelings after watching the film. She described 'Balan: The Boy' as a rare cinematic achievement. Kontham highlighted that despite featuring only a handful of major characters, every single role delivered a memorable and impactful performance.

Producer Niharika Konidela also expressed her admiration for the creators, noting that the movie excelled in every technical and creative aspect. She specifically praised director Chidambaram’s direction and credited the production team for crafting an emotionally rich and technically polished cinematic experience.

The film had already generated high expectations before this screening, following public praise from actor Naga Chaitanya and director Priyadarshan. Naga Chaitanya, who attended a special viewing of the thriller, predicted that the film would resonate strongly with audiences, particularly in the Telugu-speaking regions.

'Balan: The Boy' is directed by Chidambaram, who previously directed the 2024 survival thriller 'Manjummel Boys', which became the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time.
