Telangana to Host Apprenticeship and Job Mela at Five Colleges From July 6

The Intermediate Education Department of Telangana, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (RDSDE), has finalised arrangements to host the Apprenticeship-cum-Job Mela 2026 from July 6 to 14. The recruitment drive will take place across five junior colleges in the state, starting at SKPM Government Vocational Junior College in Quthbullapur on July 6 and Kasturba Gandhi Junior College in Maredpally, Secunderabad, on July 7.

The initiative is designed to assist vocational students and freshers in securing immediate employment and training opportunities. Candidates attending the job mela will get direct access to on-the-spot interviews with participating employers, career guidance sessions from industry experts, and multiple job roles. These opportunities span across both paramedical and non-paramedical streams. Candidates who are selected for the apprenticeship training roles during the event will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 9,600.

Following the initial events in the Hyderabad region, the recruitment drive will proceed to other districts. On July 13, the Government Vocational Junior College in Hanamkonda will host the mela.

On the final day of the drive, July 14, the recruitment process will move to the Government Vocational Junior Colleges in Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda. To streamline the process at these two venues, the organisers have scheduled the interviews for paramedical streams in the forenoon session, followed by the non-paramedical streams in the afternoon session.

The job mela is open to a specific group of eligible candidates, including vocational students from the 2023–2026 batches. Job seekers and freshers who passed the IPE March or IPASE June examinations in 2026, or those who cleared their exams in the last three academic years, are also invited to participate. However, the organisers clarified that only candidates who have not previously undergone or completed any apprenticeship training are eligible to apply.

Those planning to attend the interviews are advised to come prepared with the necessary documentation. Candidates must carry two copies of their updated resume, their original and photocopies of educational certificates, and their Aadhaar card.
