Telangana Student S Srinath Reddy Found Dead in London, Family Seeks Repatriation

A 25-year-old student from Talamadla village in the Kamareddy district of Telangana was found dead under unclear circumstances in London on June 23. S Srinath Reddy had travelled to the United Kingdom 14 months ago to pursue his higher education. Following the sudden tragedy, his family has appealed to both the Central government of India and the Telangana state government to intervene and expedite the repatriation of his body.

According to his father, Madhusudan Reddy, who spoke from their home in Talamadla village, the family had a normal conversation with Srinath Reddy on the night of June 22. During the phone call, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Later that same night, the young student went to attend a birthday party.

The next morning, on June 23, Srinath Reddy was found dead in his room. A family relative, whose own son also resides in London, provided details of the incident as conveyed by Srinath Reddy's roommate. The roommate claimed that Srinath Reddy had allegedly died by suicide. However, the relative noted that the roommate informed other friends about the death only later in the day, adding to the family's confusion over the sequence of events.

With the exact circumstances surrounding the death remaining highly unclear, the family is seeking official clarity from investigators. Madhusudan Reddy has urged government authorities to step in and help the family navigate the international procedures required to bring his son's body back to Kamareddy district. The family continues to wait for official updates from London as they hope for a swift return of Srinath Reddy's remains.
