Telangana Sees Overnight Showers as Rain Forecast Across 13 Districts

Parts of Telangana experienced light to moderate overnight rainfall, bringing cloudy conditions and a dip in temperatures across several districts, with localities in Hyderabad including Sivarampally, Barkas, and Rajendranagar recording fresh precipitation.

Widespread light to moderate rainfall has been forecast over the next 24 hours across multiple northern and eastern districts of Telangana. The regions expected to see wet weather include Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Nirmal, and Nizamabad. Other districts across the state are also likely to witness brief spells of rain during this period.

According to recorded rainfall figures from the overnight showers, Gangadhara in Karimnagar district registered the highest rainfall in the state at 35 mm. It was followed by Eligaid in Peddapalli district with 29.3 mm and Bheemaram in Jagtial district with 28 mm.

Other areas logging significant rainfall totals include Choppadandi in Karimnagar with 27 mm, Mallial in Jagtial with 26 mm, and Sultanabad in Peddapalli with 23 mm. Rainfall was also measured at Parkal in Hanamkonda district with 22.8 mm, Mortad in Nizamabad district with 22.3 mm, Ramadugu in Karimnagar with 21 mm, Kodimial in Jagtial with 20.5 mm, Kothapallygori in Bhupalapally with 20.5 mm, and Mallampally in Mulugu with 19 mm.

Decent showers were additionally reported across Sangareddy, Vikarabad, and Hyderabad districts. Within Hyderabad, Sivarampally recorded the highest local precipitation at 12.8 mm, followed by Barkas with 8.3 mm, Rajendranagar with 8 mm, and Balapur with 7.8 mm.

Weather conditions across Hyderabad are expected to remain mostly dry overall, though a few scattered showers may occur during the afternoon and overnight hours as cloudy skies and lower temperatures persist across the region.
