Telangana Releases 1,000-Day Report, Targets $1 Trillion Economy by 2034

Ahead of completing 1,000 days in power on September 1, the Telangana government under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy released a comprehensive progress report in Hyderabad detailing its major milestones and policy achievements. The government reiterated its goal of transforming the state into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
According to the report, Telangana's per capita income rose to ₹4,18,931 in 2025-26, standing approximately 91 per cent above the national average. The state also surpassed Punjab in paddy cultivation and production, procuring a record 81.12 lakh metric tonnes of grain during the previous Rabi season.
On the economic front, the state secured ₹1.29 lakh crore in investments through TG-iPASS and signed agreements worth ₹5.75 lakh crore during the Telangana Rising Global Summit. An additional ₹92,281 crore in investments on TSIIC land is expected to create over 78,000 jobs, while the Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy aims for ₹73,360 crore in investments and 3.5 lakh job opportunities. The administration also confirmed that over 72,000 government job appointments were completed during its first 1,000 days.
The report highlighted major welfare initiatives, including free RTC bus travel for women under the Mahalakshmi scheme, free electricity up to 200 units for over 53 lakh families under Gruha Jyothi, and domestic LPG cylinders at ₹500 for 43 lakh families. In the agricultural sector, the government waived crop loans up to ₹2 lakh for more than 25 lakh families and provided over ₹36,000 crore in investment support through Rythu Bharosa.
In healthcare and infrastructure, the Rajiv Aarogyasri limit was raised from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh. Work has begun on a ₹2,700 crore, 2,000-bed facility for Osmania General Hospital in Goshamahal, alongside three TIMS super-specialty hospitals in Sanathnagar, Alwal, and LB Nagar. A 360-kilometre Regional Ring Road around Hyderabad is also underway.
