Telangana Power JAC Meets Utility CMDs to Address 14 Major Workforce Demands

The Telangana Power Joint Action Committee (JAC) held a joint meeting in Hyderabad with the Chairman and Managing Directors (CMDs) of state power utilities to discuss 14 major demands concerning employees, workers, and artisans.

The discussions involved the leadership of Genco, Transco, and the two power distribution companies (discoms), focusing on several long-pending issues affecting the state's power sector workforce.

During the meeting, JAC representatives brought the workforce concerns to the attention of the management. The JAC stated that the utility management responded positively and gave assurances that appropriate steps would be taken to resolve the issues raised.

Both sides agreed to hold another joint meeting within 15 days to continue discussions and track progress on the pending demands. JAC leaders reiterated their commitment to continuously work toward achieving the legitimate demands of the power sector staff.

The JAC delegation was led by Chairman Saibaba, Convener Ratnakar Rao, Secretary-General Sridhar, Co-convener B.C. Reddy, and Co-chairmen Mahesh and Wazir. Artisan JAC Chairman Satish Reddy, Convener Sayulu, and other committee leaders also took part in the negotiations.
