Telangana Postal Circle Launches Gangotri Ganga Jal and Rakhi Envelopes

HYDERABAD — The Telangana Postal Circle on Tuesday launched two special festive offerings, introducing Gangotri-sourced Ganga Jal bottles and specialized Rakhi Post Envelopes across post offices in the state.

The holy Ganga Jal, sourced directly from Gangotri, is being made available in 250 ml bottles priced at Rs 30 per bottle. According to an official release, these bottles will be sold at all district headquarters head post offices as well as select post offices across the Telangana Postal Circle.

Consumers can also book the Ganga Jal bottles online through the official postal portal at www.epostoffice.gov.in during the ongoing Sravanamasa festive season. The announcement was detailed in an official release issued by Assistant Postmaster General (BD, Mails & MMU) K Sudheer Babu.

Alongside the holy water, the postal department introduced special Rakhi Post Envelopes to mark the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Priced at Rs 15 each, these dedicated envelopes have been rolled out at selected post offices to ensure the safe and secure transit of Rakhis to family and loved ones.

To further assist people sending festive greetings, the postal department is also offering a 10 percent discount on Speed Post postage charges for Rakhi Mail. The discount came into effect from August 12, 2026, across the entire postal network.

Officials from the department have urged citizens to visit their nearest designated post offices or use the official online booking platform to make use of these seasonal products and services during the festival period.
