Telangana Group-III Exam Question Papers Used as Paper Plates at Bakery

Question papers from the Telangana Group-III recruitment examination were found converted into paper plates to serve snacks at a bakery in Rajanna Siricilla district and at a tea stall in Ashok Nagar, Hyderabad.

The examination was conducted for recruitment to 1,363 government vacancies in 2024, and the hiring process concluded in 2025. Visitors at the Rajanna Siricilla bakery noticed that the plates used for snacks were made from the examination papers and took photographs of them.

Photographs of the paper plates were shared on social media and circulated widely on Wednesday. Similar images also surfaced showing the question papers being used as plates at a tea stall in Ashok Nagar, a well-known coaching hub for competitive examinations in Hyderabad.

The papers appearing in the circulating photos do not appear to have come from a single candidate. The codes printed on the sheets vary, with one question paper code ending in 30 while another concludes with 32.

Under official examination rules, question papers are required to be destroyed or shredded following due procedures once the recruitment process is completed. The emergence of the papers in commercial establishments has raised concerns over how bulk question papers were stored and disposed of after the examinations, and how they reached a bakery in Rajanna Siricilla district.

The incident occurred roughly a month after a similar lapse in the state, where a large number of Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets from the Hostel Welfare Officers recruitment examination were found discarded near the PVNR Express Highway at Shivarampally.
