Telangana Group-III Exam Papers Used as Snack Plates at Rajanna Sircilla Bakery

Question papers from Telangana's Group-III recruitment examination were found repurposed as disposable snack plates at a bakery in Rajanna Siricilla district, as well as at a tea stall in Ashok Nagar, Hyderabad, a prominent hub for competitive examination coaching.

Visitors to the bakery discovered that the paper plates being used to serve snacks were made directly from the question papers of the Group-III exam. The recruitment drive was conducted to fill 1,363 vacancies in 2024, with the hiring process concluding in 2025.

Photographs of the improvised plates surfaced and circulated widely across social media. The question papers visible in the photos bore differing code numbers, including codes ending in 30 and 32, indicating that multiple batches of test booklets were involved rather than an isolated copy from a single candidate.

Under official examination guidelines, surplus and used question papers must be systematically shredded or destroyed according to established protocols once exams are completed. The appearance of the sheets at commercial food stalls has raised serious concerns regarding the storage, handling, and disposal of official test materials.

The incident follows a similar lapse that occurred about a month earlier, when a large quantity of Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets from the Hostel Welfare Officers recruitment examination was discovered discarded near the PVNR Express Highway at Shivarampally.
