Telangana Govt Doctors Call Off Protests After Health Minister Assures Resolution

The Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGGDA) officially called off its protests in Hyderabad on Friday night, June 5, 2026, following an assurance of a fair resolution from Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha. The decision ensures that outpatient services at government hospitals across the state, which had been suspended for a day due to the stir, will resume normal operations starting Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Members of the doctors' association expressed satisfaction with the State government’s response to their demands. According to the TGGDA, Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha assured the protesting medical professionals that appropriate measures would be taken to address and resolve their issues fairly.

Following the positive response from the minister, the TGGDA announced the withdrawal of all its proposed protest programmes. The association expressed its full confidence in both the State government and the Health Minister.

With the protest called off, the TGGDA clarified that all medical services will continue as usual without any further disruption across all government hospitals statewide. The resumption of normal operations applies to all healthcare departments, including outpatient (OP) services, inpatient (IP) services, emergency services, and surgeries.
