Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla Extends Independence Day Greetings

Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla extended warm greetings to the people of Telangana and the nation on Friday on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day on August 15.

The Governor called upon people to remember with gratitude the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who fought with courage and dedication for the country’s independence. Shukla stated that the freedom enjoyed today was the result of the sacrifices and valour of those who fought for the nation.

He urged every citizen to discharge their responsibility towards safeguarding the country’s independence, sovereignty, and unity. Shukla also called for collective efforts from all citizens to build a stronger and self-reliant Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The Governor emphasised the need to ensure that the benefits of development reach all sections of society, calling for greater focus on peace, fraternity, and inclusive development. He noted that every citizen should contribute to building a prosperous and progressive India based on the foundational values of unity, integrity, and development.

Shukla called upon youth, women, farmers, workers, students, and people from all sections of society to play an active role in the nation’s progress.

The Governor expressed hope that the tricolour would always fly high with pride and that its three colours would continue to symbolise courage, peace, and faith among the people. He urged citizens across the state and country to draw inspiration from the ideals of the freedom fighters and rededicate themselves to the task of building a Viksit Bharat.
