Telangana Government Approves Recruitment of 5000 Police Personnel

The Telangana state government has approved the direct recruitment of 5,000 personnel to fill various vacancies across the state police department in Hyderabad. The clearance was issued through the finance (HRM.VII) department after a detailed review of the personnel requirements under the administrative control of the Director General of Police (DGP).

The recruitment drive will be conducted by the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB). This initiative aims to significantly strengthen the state's law enforcement personnel by filling critical vacancies across multiple cadres.

According to the official government order, the approved vacancies include a total of 3,697 civil constables and 1,052 Armed Reserve (AR) constables, which constitute the largest portion of the recruitment drive.

In addition to the constable positions, the government has sanctioned the recruitment of 148 civil sub-inspectors, 14 Armed Reserve sub-inspectors, 12 reserve sub-inspectors for the Telangana Special Police, and three sub-inspectors for the Special Armed Reserve Central Police Lines (SAR CPL).

The recruitment will also fill specialized technical and support roles within the department. These include 23 assistant sub-inspectors for the Finger Print Bureau, 24 constables for the SAR CPL, 20 constable drivers, and seven constable mechanics.

To facilitate the process, the government has directed the TSLPRB to obtain all necessary cadre-wise vacancy details, roster points, qualifications, and other specific recruitment particulars from both the home department and the DGP. These details must be secured before the board issues the official recruitment notification and the subsequent examination schedule.

The home department has also been instructed by the government to immediately furnish all the required information to the recruitment board to ensure the process begins at the earliest.
