Telangana Faces Hot Weather and Deficient Rainfall as El Nino Takes Effect

Telangana is likely to experience hot and humid weather over the next 10 days as the El Nino phenomenon influences atmospheric conditions, leading to rising temperatures across the state. A significant drop in rainfall activity is expected starting August 27.

While Telangana recorded rainfall over the past three to four days due to a low-pressure system, monsoon activity is projected to decline sharply. The state is anticipated to face deficient rainfall through the first week of September, with the dry spell potentially extending through the first 15 days of the month.

Except for North and East Telangana, where light to moderate showers remain possible, most other regions of the state are forecast to receive only sporadic showers or stay completely dry. Meteorological observations indicate that El Nino's impact on rainfall is typically more pronounced during September, increasing the likelihood of subdued monsoon conditions.

Ahead of the projected dry spell, parts of Hyderabad recorded good rainfall on yesterday evening and during the early morning hours. Areas across North Hyderabad, alongside parts of Central and South Hyderabad, witnessed significant downpours before the anticipated shift toward warmer, humid weather.
