Telangana Distributes Voter Enumeration Forms to Over 3.38 Crore Electors

On Thursday, Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana C. Sudarshan Reddy announced that the state has achieved 100 percent distribution of voter enumeration forms across all 33 districts, including Hyderabad. The distribution process, which began on June 25, successfully reached 3,38,26,281 out of the state's 3,38,26,448 electors.

The Chief Electoral Officer released a detailed status report on Thursday, July 16, 2026, outlining the progress of both the distribution and the digitisation of these enumeration forms. The SIR of the electoral rolls officially commenced across the state on June 25, marking the start of the extensive voter database update.

According to the official status report, the digitisation of the voter enumeration forms has reached 58.45 percent statewide. Out of the forms distributed to electors, a total of 1,97,70,098 forms have been successfully digitised so far.

The report revealed significant differences in progress among the various districts. Yadadri Bhongir district, also known as Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, stood at the top of the list by completing 85.18 percent of its digitisation work. The district has continued to hold its leading position from day one of the digitisation of the enumeration process.

Conversely, Medchal-Malkajgiri district recorded the lowest progress in the state, with a digitisation rate of only 28.41 percent. Hyderabad district registered 31.54 percent in the digitisation of its enumeration forms, placing it second from the bottom among the 33 districts in Telangana.

The ongoing digitisation and distribution efforts are part of the state's broader initiative to update and maintain accurate electoral rolls across all its administrative divisions. The status report indicates that while the distribution phase has achieved its target of reaching nearly all electors, the digitisation phase remains ongoing to process the remaining forms.
