Telangana Declares Holiday for Milad-un-Nabi as Procession Set in Hyderabad

Schools, educational institutions, and government offices across Telangana will remain closed on Wednesday following the State government's declaration of a holiday for Milad-un-Nabi. In Hyderabad, major religious programmes are scheduled to take place, including the main procession starting from the Charminar area.

Several schools across the State have announced the holiday and sent notifications to parents. However, certain schools have decided to conduct special classes for Class X students.

The holiday marks the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed, which will be observed with several religious programmes across Hyderabad.

As part of the observances, the main procession, known as the Markazi Milad Juloos, is scheduled to begin at Charminar. The procession will move through Gulzar Houz, Pathergatti, Nayapul, Darulshifa, Mandi Mir Alam, Etebar Chowk, and Kotla Alijah before concluding at Moghalpura.
