Telangana Clears Rs 13.5 Crore Water and Sewer Works for 3 TIMS Hospitals

The Telangana state government has approved the tender process by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) for water supply and sewerage infrastructure works worth Rs 13.5 crore across three upcoming Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) hospital facilities located in Alwal, Sanathnagar, and L.B. Nagar.
The decision aims to ensure that essential utility connections are established in time, as the three super-speciality hospital facilities are expected to begin operations soon.
According to officials, waiting to initiate the tender process until the health department released connection charges could have caused delays in project execution. To avoid setbacks, the government issued orders permitting the water board to move ahead with the works in anticipation of funds while formal financial sanctions and budget allocations remain under process.
The estimated Rs 13.5 crore expenditure covers comprehensive water supply improvement projects along with the necessary sewerage infrastructure required to make the three TIMS facilities fully functional.
